Brigitte has gained her freedom, but can she keep it? Will she get back to the palace so she can take up her rightful place as the Crown Princess?
Esther (“Fearless” route) has a spy mission, and she has developed a plan to rescue Brigitte! She may find, however, that things do not always go as planned.
Esther (“Angry” route-fka “Timid” route) has returned to the spy program. This time, however, it is under her own terms. Will she complete the program and finally take charge of her life?

Version 0.13.1 Maintenance and Repair

• I found someone willing to do a deep proofreading of the whole story! Thanks to TheDevian at Svengali Productions!
• Fixed multiple (so many!) typos, punctuation errors, and render errors.
• Fixed the bug that allowed actions on the “stats” screen to affect the main game.
• I think I found a solution to the bug that crashes back to the title screen when you roll back over an animation. Now, after an animation, you can’t roll back. Not an elegant solution, but it seems to avoid the crash!
• Fixed (I think) a bug that allowed animation buttons to stay on screen when skipping. Skipping now stops at animations.
• Finally removed the false choice regarding whether Brigitte will accept Siobhan’s offer to try training.
• Added some more choices to Siobhan’s training scenes.
• Changed the title of Brigitte’s “Bratty” path to “Willful”
• Changed some scenes (particularly in Act 7) to reflect that change.
• Maybe more? Probably more. This was a much-needed maintenance update.

Version 0.13 Chapter 3 Ends

• This is a story-heavy release. There aren’t many intimate scenes (in fact, depending on your choices, there could be none).
• Chapter 3 comes to an end.
• Brigitte escapes! Will Bruno recapture her?
• Esther’s “Timid/Pawn” route concludes.
• Esther’s “Fearless” route concludes with final exams: a real mission!
• Made some changes to Esther’s fighting game to try to balance it more: the opponents now have a chance to miss.
• Updated/improved some images from early in the story.

Version 0.12 A Fine Meal

• A small rewrite to Chapter 3, Act 2, Esther’s Story, in which we are introduced to Tristan, Titus’ nephew. Esther will see Tristan again in Chapter 4 (or sooner, depending on her story path).
• Added more content to the Esther “timid” scenes in Act 7 to make that storyline feel less abrupt and more complete.
• Brigitte is faced with a stark choice: does she continue to put up with Bruno’s humiliations, or does she try to manipulate him so she can make her escape?
• Her friends are making plans as well…and Iris meets Osprey for the first time.
• Bruno finally pushes it too far. What will that mean for our Princess?
• Meanwhile, back at the palace, Creighton is looking for ways to take advantage of this whole mess, King Herold worries, and Esther hears some sad news.
• Inserted the fighting game into Acts 6 and 7. I might have bitten off more than I could chew with this one. As it is, this is a very simple game, but it does allow Esther to increase her fighting stats.

v0.10.2
of Royal Switch is a bug fix release, which fixes an error that created a crash when a certain achievement was earned. This integrates the v. 0.10.1 Hotfix, so if you already have that, you don’t need this one.
ALSO, THIS RELEASE INCLUDES A BUG-FIXED VERSION FOR ANDROID!

v0.10.1

• Fixed some reported bugs (many of these fixes were included in the earlier hotfix).
• Edited some dialogue from earlier scenes, in particular the “Siobhan’s Offer” scenes.
• Removed “refuse first, then accept” pathway for the “Feed Bruno” task. This should fix the last of the scenes where a bratty response will loop back so that the reader must eventually do the task.
• Added option in the “Preferences” menu, so that players can change the dialogue and menu fonts.

Version 0.10 Brigitte’s Story: Candles

• Major re-writes of three scenes from Acts 1 and 2: “Clean your Room,” “Clean the Barracks,” and “Clean the Mess Hall.” Now the “Bratty” response will not lead to Brigitte ultimately giving in to Bruno’s demands. She will be punished instead (there’s an expanded punishment scene in the “Clean the Barracks” storyline). There is still a middle path, re-named “Resist” rather than “Refuse” for those who want to try a more balanced approach. And, of course, she can still give in to his demands!
• Brigitte’s “Bratty” path: Brigitte can try to manipulate Bruno by doing his tasks, and using his “reward” to plot her escape. Alternately, she can continue to defy his wishes, and endure (or enjoy?) the punishment.
• Brigitte’s “Sub” path: She’s nearly fully committed at this point. How far will she go?
• Bruno tries a new tactic to reach his ultimate goal.
• Iris has a visit from an old friend. Wait, doesn’t he look familiar?
• Statistics: 5,493 words of dialogue (79,843 words total); about 440 new renders; one new patron’s gallery image.

Version 0.09
–Esther’s “Fearless” path: Esther continues her training by getting a little “hands on,” and by spending the day with a rather intimate distraction.
–Esther’s “Timid” path: Our heroine is feeling a bit lost. None other than Titus offers support. And who is this nephew of his? He is very different than his uncle…
–New side story, “Risky Business,” starring He’Thar.
–Plot developments featuring He’Thar, Cassandra and Saturna, Jonquil, and the Golden Serpent.
–A major re-write of the “Puppy play” scene from Brigitte’s Story, Chapter 3 Act 6 (aka version 0.08). This rewrite addresses story flow and character motivation issues. I expect that it will break any saves made during that scene. Earlier saves should be fine. Later saves seem to work, but you might want to go back anyway to see what is different.
–Statistics:: 4,668 words of dialogue (74,350 words total); about 400 new renders; two new patrons’ gallery images.

My First Story: Royal Switch

• Two people, born the same day, but in very different circumstances. One is a Princess, born to rule. The other is a peasant, born to live in obscurity. They live very different lives, until one day the fates collide, and they meet, only to discover that they are identical in (almost) every way! What would happen if they switched places?
• Wait…you say you have heard this story? Like, 100 times? Okay, fine. But this version includes some elements that a certain classic of American literature lacks, including:
  • Elves!
  • Sex!
  • Talking Cats!
  • Training!
  • Corruption!
  • Romance!
  • Intrigue!
  • Uh…Talking Cats!
• I am trying to do something a little bit different with the trainer/corruption genre, within my meager abilities. Where most stories of this type end when the heroine reaches the point of corruption, I intend to keep going for a while so we can explore how she deals with it.
• Ultimately, the character’s story arcs are empowerment (for the peasant) and empathy (for the princess). Only with lots of deviancy along the way!
• Join us as we pervert a beloved tale for our own prurient amusement, as peasant Esther and Princess Brigitte embark on parallel adventures to find their true selves!
