A Trip Up North combines relationship-driven storytelling with a light spy-thriller framework. Rob and Suzanne remain at the center of the narrative, while their journey to northern England introduces new characters and a new social environment.

The most interesting aspect is the contrast between their personal adventure and the undercover mission. Players are not simply following a romance story; the characters also need to navigate a secret investigation while building relationships within The Velvet Hand.

The game uses a kinetic visual-novel format with 3D DAZ-style visuals, animation, music, and sound effects. Player choices are an important part of the experience, particularly when selecting how relationships develop throughout the story.

Overall, A Trip Up North is a good choice for players who enjoy mature visual novels that combine romance, character interactions, adventure, and a layer of espionage.

• In Part II our heroes reach the Heart of the Pennines and their induction into The Velvet Hand, the gold star of Swingers clubs. They meet fellow swingers and receive tuition from the clubs tutors…but this ain’t no college for kids. + 700 renders and a handful of simple animations.

The game is focused on Swinging and Sharing and those hoping for a path where our two main characters cheat on each other will be disappointed, but if you enjoy a story with lots of choice and lots of enjoyable sex then this might be just for you. It is written using colloquial English English so be prepared for British slang and accents that may not agree with your spell checker. I’m a one man band with basic coding skills so if you are seeking perfection then you are probably better off looking elsewher but we do what we can.
