- Book of Lust Walkthrough Summary
This Book of Lust walkthrough covers the game’s core systems, spells, character requirements, special events and major quest chains, including G’nisi of the Meadows, Memetics, The Wayward Ones, Home is where the Harts Are, Blossoming Mage, Fiat Iustitia and Playing with Fire.
The guide is based on the official Book of Lust README and quest notes published by developer KanashiiPanda. Because Book of Lust is still receiving new content, later builds may extend individual quests or add new requirements.

Basic Game Controls
Book of Lust contains several shortcuts that make navigating the sandbox considerably faster.

| 1 | Talk |
| 2 | Action |

How Travel Mode Works
Travel Mode is useful when repeatedly moving between rooms. Normally, moving from one location to another requires opening several Action menus.
With Travel Mode enabled, the game skips some of those intermediate menus and takes you directly through the location hierarchy.
For example, reaching Cassandra’s room normally requires navigating through the Den first, while Travel Mode allows you to select the destination more directly.
Book of Lust Cheat Menu
Book of Lust includes an in-game cheat function inside the Character Stats menu. This means there is normally no need to manually edit save files just to increase basic progression values.
The Cheat button provides:
- Enough Experience to purchase all available spells.
- Maximum Mana.
- Maximum Stamina.
- Maximum Influence for interactable characters.
- Maximum Love for interactable characters.
- Maximum Lust for interactable characters.
Editing Individual Character Stats
Open Character Stats and select a character. The individual stat controls allow you to raise or lower values such as:
- Influence
- Love
- Lust
- Hunger
Use the +10 and -10 controls beside each available value.
Exp Salvage
The Exp Salvage feature is intended to help when an old save becomes incompatible after an update.
- Load the obsolete or problematic save.
- Open the appropriate stats menu.
- Select Exp Salvage.
- The game begins a new playthrough while carrying over earned Experience.
This does not restore every part of the previous save. Its main purpose is to reduce the amount of progression lost after an incompatible update.
Understanding Character Stats
Many Book of Lust events are controlled by a combination of character state, time, location and stats rather than a simple linear story path.
Influence
Influence can determine whether a character cooperates with Jake or accepts certain requests. Some quest dialogue can also be bypassed with high Influence.
Love
Love represents relationship progression and can contribute to character-specific interactions.
Lust
Lust is frequently used as a requirement for intimate character events. Some special scenes require a particular character to reach a specified Lust value before waiting or interacting with them.
Mana
Mana is especially important because supernatural abilities consume it. Certain quest events also require Jake to have enough Mana before sleeping or casting a spell.
One major Caroline sequence specifically requires at least 34 Mana before sleeping to avoid a Game Over, while another later event requires 100 Mana or more.
Important Spells and Supernatural Systems
The spell system is central to Book of Lust progression. Different spells affect character control, memories and available interactions.
Dream Walk
Dream Walk allows the player to enter certain characters’ dreams and access memories or dream-specific progression.
Officially documented Dream Walk targets include:
- Cassandra
- Julia
- Mia
- Mel
- Valerie
Later updates also extend Dream Walk-related progression to additional characters such as BlightFire.
Soul Passenger
Documented Soul Passenger targets include:
- Olivia
- Cassandra
- Julia
- Valerie
Dominate Mind and Compulsion
Dominate Mind and Compulsion can change dialogue and event conditions. Some quests specifically distinguish between the two, so do not assume that Compulsion always satisfies a requirement written for Dominate Mind.
Body Swap
Body Swap becomes particularly important during Caroline’s storyline. Several Memetics objectives require changing bodies and then interacting with other characters while controlling the new body.
Command – Possess
The official quest guide recommends learning Command – Possess before advancing too far through the Memetics quest line because the opportunity becomes unavailable after a certain point.
Character and Scene Progression
Different playable bodies provide access to different character interactions. The official README separately tracks content available while playing as Jake, Cassandra, Olivia, Caroline, Mel, Julia and Valerie.
This is important when following quests because an event that does not appear may require you to be controlling a particular character.
Jake
Jake has documented progression with characters including Cassandra, Olivia, Julia, Mia, Mel, Valerie and Caroline.
Cassandra
While controlling Cassandra, additional interactions are documented with Jake, Olivia and Mel.
Olivia
Olivia has character-specific interactions involving Jake, Mel, Donovan and Mia.
Caroline
Caroline has unique progression with Jake and Julia, and her body becomes particularly important during the Memetics storyline.
Mel
Mel has interactions with Cassandra, Olivia, Jake and Julia.
Julia
Julia has specific progression involving Jake, Valerie and Donovan.
Special Event Hints
Several scenes require more than simply reaching a high relationship value.
- Using Dominate Mind on Cassandra and changing her Sunday behavior can open additional interactions involving other characters.
- Progressing Jake’s Olivia events can unlock a special interaction when Mel is visiting Cassandra.
- After reaching the appropriate Olivia progression, Body Swap with Caroline can unlock another related dialogue path.
- Mia gains additional dialogue variations after specific Dominate Mind progression with Jake.
- Valerie has hypnosis-related events after discussing Hypnosis with her as Jake or Julia.
- Waiting in particular rooms while Valerie is present can trigger hypnosis events when her Lust is at least 70.
- Repeatedly using Dream Walk on characters can unlock additional content, particularly for Julia.
- Talk to Julia during the Late Morning as Jake to access the Meadowlands Club-related progression.
Visitors and Weekly Events
Some characters appear only at specific times.
| Character | Location / Time |
|---|---|
| Julia Woods | Hart residence on Sunday Night |
| Mel Price | Hart residence on Saturday Late Night |
If an expected event is missing, check the current playable character, day and time before assuming the quest is broken.
Important Locations
The official Book of Lust guide lists a growing number of areas used by character and quest progression:
- Hart residence
- School Courtyard
- Maple Street
- Olivia’s Flower Shop
- Oleander Road
- Price Apartment
- Mel’s Room
- Valerie’s Room
- Woods’ Den
- Julia’s Room
- Mia and Donovan’s Room
- Caroline’s Dorm
- Coffee Shop
- Maple Street Mall
- Reggie’s Club
- Old Street
- Horizon Street
- Shimmer Advertising
- G’nisi’s Temple
- Raven Field
- Sol Street
- Abandoned Theater
- Katherine’s Room
- Raven Dorm Rooftop
Book of Lust Main Quest
One important early recommendation from the official guide is to learn Command – Possess before reaching the point in the Memetics storyline where it is no longer obtainable.
Because many later events depend on supernatural abilities, spell acquisition should be treated as part of quest preparation rather than as an optional side system.
G’nisi of the Meadows Walkthrough
G’nisi’s quest connects Dream Walk progression, repeated visits and the larger supernatural storyline.
- Use Dream Walk on Cassandra three times.
- The third Dream Walk opens a special choice.
- Continue G’nisi’s personal progression.
- Help G’nisi repeatedly to advance the quest.
- After helping her three times, the Raven Mother visits.
- The Morning Star appears after meeting Raven Mother.
- Optionally speak with Raven Mother to meet Morning Star in his realm.
- After meeting Morning Star, leave the dream realm.
- Return on the following night for additional G’nisi dialogue.
- Continue G’nisi’s repeatable progression until she directs you to Trish.
- Talk to Trish at the Coffee Shop during Early Morning.
- Complete the next G’nisi progression requirement to obtain the final Memory Crystal.
Chapter 1 – Memetics Walkthrough
Memetics is one of the most important Book of Lust quest chains because it develops Caroline and introduces deeper use of Body Swap and Dream Walk.
Meet Caroline Before Day 15
- Play as Jake.
- Go to school during the Afternoon.
- Accept Julia’s invitation to lunch.
This should be completed before Day 15 or Caroline can leave.
Maintain Contact with Caroline
Interact with Caroline at least once each week until the second Body Swap sequence with her.
Build Caroline’s Trust and Mood
- Talk to Caroline in her dorm.
- Return when she has more than 20 Trust and 15 Mood.
- Continue until she has more than 25 Trust and 20 Mood.
Advance Caroline’s Relationship
Continue Caroline’s available character events until the option to invite her to live with Jake becomes available.
Several additional Succubus-related events are required as the storyline progresses. Continue those events until Caroline’s next dialogue chain opens.
Unlock the Body Swap Discussion
Complete Caroline’s preceding dialogue chains and required relationship progression.
Then:
- Talk to Caroline about using Body Swap and Dream Walk on her.
- Discuss Dream Walking with Caroline three times.
- Make sure Jake has at least 34 Mana before sleeping during the required sequence.
- Discuss Body Swapping with Caroline.
Body Swap with Caroline
After the Body Swap event:
- Optionally talk to the Succubus while Caroline is present.
- Talk to Caroline about swapping back.
- Complete the return Body Swap.
100 Mana Event
A later Caroline interaction requires Jake to have at least 100 Mana. Build or restore Mana before attempting this stage.
Talk to Mel and Julia
Discuss Caroline’s situation with both characters.
Mel
Mel eventually asks you to return with the other body during Early Morning or Late Night.
Listening to the conversation requires one of the following:
- Compulsion on Mel
- Dominate Mind on Mel
- At least 80 Influence
Julia
Julia has no equivalent stat requirement for this conversation. Her state can change whether an additional scene appears.
Continue the Body Swap Story
- Talk to Julia while she is at home and you have enough Mana to use Body Swap.
- Talk to Caroline again about Body Swapping.
- Swap back with Caroline.
After reaching this stage, Caroline will no longer automatically disappear after a week. Body Swap becomes part of her continued character progression.
Fix the Dream Walk Spell
- Talk to Caroline again about Dream Walking.
- Go to sleep.
- Talk to Caroline about fixing the spell.
Jake must be the active character for the final conversation, and Caroline must meet the state requirements given by the quest.
How to Keep Caroline
Near the end of the major Caroline sequence, the dialogue choices determine whether she stays or leaves.
For the route where Caroline stays, select the supportive responses in the following order:
- Not going to drag me down
- You’re worth the effort
- You’re not a liability
- You’re stronger than you know, Caroline
- You keep picking yourself back up
- That’s what strength is
- Because we’re friends
- You’ve had plenty to offer
- That’s only one side of you
- Because I’m selfish
Selecting Let her go instead causes Caroline to leave.
After convincing her to stay, there is also an optional conversation with the Succubus about Caroline.
The Wayward Ones Walkthrough
The Wayward Ones follows Caroline’s Dream Walk development.
- Allow Caroline to cast Dream Walk on Jake.
- Optionally reach seven total Dream Walk casts by this stage or afterwards.
- Optionally Dream Walk Mel and select the transformation-related choice after Caroline has Dream Walked Jake.
- Use Dream Walk on Mel a second time.
- Select the corresponding transformation choice for the player.
The optional first Mel branch is not required to trigger the later Wayward Ones progression.
Home Is Where the Harts Are
This event becomes available after inviting Caroline to live with Jake.
- Talk to the Succubus after Caroline moves in.
- Play as Jake.
- Sleep in Jake’s room at Late Night.
For the event to trigger:
- Cassandra must not be Possessed.
- Mel must not currently be visiting the Hart residence.
Blossoming Mage Walkthrough
First Event
Wait seven days after completing Chapter 1.
Then:
- Play as Jake.
- Enter Julia’s room during the Evening.
- Make sure no Mind or Soul spells are active on Julia.
G’nisi and Caroline
After Chapter 1 is complete and you have progressed far enough with G’nisi to receive her unique spell:
- Cast G’nisi’s unique spell in front of Caroline.
- Discuss Caroline with G’nisi.
- Discuss visiting G’nisi’s realm with Caroline.
- Cast the unique spell in front of Caroline again.
- Go to sleep.
An additional optional event can be triggered in compatible versions by cancelling the Visit G’nisi effect before going to bed with Caroline present.
Chapter 2 – Fiat Iustitia Walkthrough
Fiat Iustitia continues the main story after Caroline’s Chapter 1 progression.
Optional Hart Den Events
As Jake, enter the Hart Den after the following milestones:
- After Day 15
- After Day 22
- After Day 30
Cassandra must not be Possessed for these optional events.
Start Chapter 2
- Complete Caroline’s quest with Caroline remaining Jake’s friend.
- Wait three days.
- Optionally visit the Coffee Shop in the Late Morning.
- After the chapter title appears, wait another three days.
- Go to sleep as Jake.
Valerie must not be Possessed for the required sleep event.
Festival Progression
- Discuss the fair with Julia.
- Discuss the fair with Caroline.
- Go to River Street during the Evening as Jake.
Julia must not be Possessed and Valerie must meet the quest’s required state.
After the Festival
- Discuss the festival events with Caroline.
- Discuss the festival events with Valerie in her room while playing as Jake.
- Talk to Valerie in the Morning about visiting Katherine.
- Progress the rooftop meeting with Blue Lightning.
Important: During the Blue Lightning conversation, revealing that Jake possesses one of the sins causes an immediate Game Over.
Find Blue Lightning
- Talk to Caroline about meeting Blue Lightning.
- Talk to Caroline again in the Morning about finding her.
- Play as Julia and discuss spying on BlightFire with Caroline in the Morning.
- Return to Valerie as Jake during the Morning.
Playing with Fire Walkthrough
The Playing with Fire storyline focuses on BlightFire and continues after the Fiat Iustitia investigation sequence.
- Complete the Caroline/BlightFire spying progression.
- Play as Jake.
- Enter the Abandoned Theater during the Morning.
- Continue visiting BlightFire during the Morning as new interactions become available.
- Progress her relationship far enough to unlock the later Dream Walk requirement.
- Use Dream Walk on BlightFire when the corresponding progression requirement has been completed.
- Go to sleep to continue her memory sequence.
Recent versions have continued expanding BlightFire’s Dream Walk memories, so players on a newer build may find additional content beyond the original sequence.
Why an Event May Not Trigger
Book of Lust has many overlapping conditions. If the next event does not appear, check all of the following before assuming the game is bugged:
- Playable character: Are you Jake, Julia, Caroline or the correct required character?
- Day: Some events require a minimum day or a specific weekday.
- Time: Morning, Late Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night and Late Night can have different events.
- Location: Some conversations only appear inside a specific room.
- Influence: Certain dialogue paths require higher Influence.
- Mood or Trust: Caroline’s quest uses both values.
- Lust: Some character events require a minimum Lust value.
- Mana: Several spell-related quests require enough available Mana.
- Spell state: Possession, Dominate Mind, Soul Passenger or another active spell can block an event.
- Pregnancy/state flags: Certain quest events have character-state requirements.
- Previous dialogue: Complete earlier conversations before looking for the next event.
Recommended Progression Order
Because Book of Lust is a sandbox, there is no single mandatory route for every side event. However, the following order reduces the risk of missing major quest requirements:
- Learn the basic controls and Travel Mode.
- Earn Experience and unlock important spells.
- Learn Command – Possess before progressing too far into Memetics.
- Begin using Dream Walk on Cassandra.
- Start G’nisi of the Meadows.
- Meet Caroline before Day 15.
- Interact with Caroline at least once per week.
- Build Caroline’s Trust and Mood.
- Complete Chapter 1 – Memetics.
- Keep Caroline if you want her later quest content.
- Complete The Wayward Ones and Home is where the Harts Are.
- Progress G’nisi enough to obtain her unique spell.
- Start Blossoming Mage.
- Continue into Chapter 2 – Fiat Iustitia.
- Complete the BlightFire investigation.
- Continue Playing with Fire and the newer BlightFire Dream Walk content.
Guide Compatibility
This walkthrough is based on KanashiiPanda’s official living README and quest notes rather than a walkthrough tied to only one early game version.
However, Book of Lust remains in active development. New versions can add scenes, Dream Walk memories, dialogue chains and additional steps to existing quests.
The safest approach is therefore to use this guide for the documented progression requirements while treating newly added content as an extension of the existing quest chains rather than assuming every future event is already represented here.
Book of Lust Walkthrough Summary
Book of Lust is best approached as a systems-driven sandbox rather than a simple linear visual novel. Progress depends on the interaction between the active playable character, time of day, location, relationship stats, Mana and supernatural spell states.
The most important early decisions are learning Command – Possess before it becomes unavailable, meeting Caroline before Day 15 and maintaining regular contact with her. Caroline’s Memetics storyline then becomes a major gateway into Body Swap, Dream Walk, The Wayward Ones, Blossoming Mage and eventually Chapter 2.
For later progression, carefully track spell states before important events. A character being Possessed or affected by another Mind/Soul spell can prevent required scenes from appearing even when every other condition has been completed.
Using the Character Stats menu, Travel Mode and built-in cheat tools can make experimentation easier, but the underlying quest dependencies still matter. When stuck, verify the current character, day, time, location, Mana, relationship stats and active spells before moving forward.
