Is FLX: Downfall of I-Dolls a visual novel or a management game?

FLX is primarily an adult trainer and light management game with visual-novel presentation. Progression depends on assigning activities, training idols, managing stats and unlocking new character content rather than simply reading a linear story.

How does progression work in FLX?

The main progression loop is:

Assign Activity → Raise Stats → Manage Mood and Resources → Perform Concert → Buy Upgrades → Unlock New Character Progression

How do I increase corruption?

Corruption does not increase independently from character progression. The developer has explained that players also need to raise each idol’s personal level through character interactions before later corruption options become available.

Why can I not unlock the next corruption level?

If the next corruption level is unavailable, check the idol’s personal progression first. Some corruption stages require earlier interactions, training levels or character-specific content before they can be advanced.

What do training assignments do?

Training raises the idols’ performance-related stats. Players can use regular training assignments or personally train an idol to accelerate progress.

Personal training can be faster, but excessive training reduces mood, so repeatedly using it without recovery can slow overall progression.

What does mood affect?

Mood is an important management resource. Many assignments reduce it, while upgrades and less demanding activities can help maintain or restore it.

Marketing is designed to have a relatively low mood cost compared with some other assignments.

What does marketing do?

Marketing generates trend and some money. It is useful when you want to increase popularity-related stats while another idol is being trained elsewhere.

What are branding, security and trending used for?

Branding, security and trending affect concert attendance. Improving these stats helps attract a larger audience and increases the value of the weekly concert system.

How do concerts work?

The idol group performs a concert on a regular schedule. Concert performance ties together training, branding, security, trending and other management systems.

Concerts also provide money and other progression resources that can be reinvested into upgrades.

What are Idol Credits?

Idol Credits are a separate progression currency used for special upgrades. They are more limited than normal money and are obtained through the game’s weekly management loop.

What assignments are available?

Different idols can participate in training, marketing and character-specific jobs. Examples include police work, the maid cafe, the fight club and the idol training center.

Do Tomoe, Joy and Leona have separate progression?

Yes. Each idol has her own personal progression, corruption levels and assignment content.

This means progressing one character does not automatically advance the others.

Can I train the idols personally?

Yes. Personal training can speed up stat progression without the normal assignment cost, but using it too often lowers mood.

Does FLX have tutorials?

Yes. The developer added tutorials for the management systems and also provides a way to review them later if you forget how a mechanic works.

Is FLX: Downfall of I-Dolls available on Android?

Yes. Studio Dystopia officially distributes an Android APK alongside PC and Mac builds.

Why does FLX have problems on some Android devices?

Android compatibility has been a recurring development issue. The developer upgraded the Ren’Py engine and revised the Android build process specifically to address reports from players whose devices could not install or run earlier builds correctly.

How do I install FLX on Android?

Download the official APK, open it and follow Android’s installation prompts. If installation is blocked, allow installation from the browser or file manager used to open the APK.

Is FLX made with Ren’Py?

Yes. FLX uses Ren’Py. The developer later moved the project to a newer Ren’Py branch partly to improve compatibility and reduce Android-related problems.

Is FLX: Downfall of I-Dolls still in development?

Yes. Studio Dystopia continues to expand corruption progression, character assignments, concerts, UI systems and other management content.

• New gameplay module: The concert! Every week, on Sunday, your idol group will perform a show for live audiences in their own club!

• Changed training assignment: Now it’s available from the start (although the scenes still unlock later on) and costs money, but you can train any of the idol’s stars here.
• 3 new sketches for a Haigure Dance!
• You can personally train the idols, too, to speed up their progress. This is free, but excessive training will reduce their mood.
• Branding, security, and trending have been reworked a bit. Now, they impact how many people attend the show. During the early game, it is fine for these numbers to be low; we will add new upgrades in the future.
• Added a new currency, IDX or Idol Credits. These are used to purchase special upgrades and are more scarce than regular money. You can get up to 10 a week for now, but we might rebalance it later.
• Adjusted the caps for branding, security, and trend from their assignments.
• Changed marketing assignment: Now it costs money, but increases trend more.
• Changed “wages” for “efficiency,” increasing the benefits of overexploiting them.
• Now you can find Placeholder at the lab, to rewatch tutorials. We might give him more uses in the future!

• New assignment, Marketing! This one is now available since you start the game and provides a boost on trend and some money. It’s the assignment that reduces the least amount of mood.

• QoL changes: Now, the big portrait and the button in the training menu are dynamic, showing their current outfit and a proper expression according to their mood.

• Bugfix: Not every assignment gave the right amount of trend, security, etc., so we fixed this, too. We also improved the code in this section to make future adjustments easier.

Right now, we are in the early phase of development, with about 2 hours of content, but regular updates will expand the amount of art and content we currently have.
