Shards of the Past [v0.4.1] [Garou24]

While returning from what was supposed to be a routine trading trip to a nearby town, a young man is pulled into an epic story of your making. Along the way you will meet new people and see incredible sights as you travel across the continent seeking to solve a great mystery. What you find will cast doubt in your beliefs and history as you know it, while allowing you to create a future of bright exploration or epic destruction. With a branching narrative and multiple possible outcomes, you shape the story with your actions and choices.

Shards of the Past is a story-driven adult visual novel that blends fantasy adventure, romance, and meaningful choices. A routine trading trip takes a young man across a continent filled with unfamiliar people, dangerous encounters, and a mystery that challenges what he believes about the world’s history. Its custom-rendered 3D scenes place it among 3DCG adult games, while its setting and story suit fans of fantasy games.

Choices shape conversations, relationships, story routes, and possible endings. Some decisions can close off scenes or paths, so saving before major choices is useful. The game is available for PC and has an Android APK release; its emphasis is on a substantial branching story, with adult content developing alongside the characters and relationships.

Shards of the Past Game Review

The game’s main draw is the way it treats player choices as part of a larger journey. Decisions can affect immediate dialogue and steer later events, giving the narrative a branching structure rather than a simple sequence of scenes. The fantasy setting supports a wider story about travel, history, and competing beliefs.

Its 3D-rendered character scenes and environments give the visual novel a consistent presentation, while the journal and gallery add useful ways to revisit information and unlocked images. The adult-game label comes with a story-first pace: players looking primarily for frequent explicit scenes may find the adventure and character development take more time.

GameCax Review

Shards of the Past is best suited to players who want a long-form adult visual novel with consequential choices, fantasy world-building, and branching character paths. Its narrative ambition and 3D presentation are appealing strengths, though the slower pacing may not fit players looking for a short, scene-focused porn game. Overall, it offers a more story-centered experience where relationships and adult content are part of a broader adventure.

Pros and Cons

• Pros: Meaningful choices, branching routes, detailed fantasy setting, 3D-rendered scenes, and PC and Android versions.
• Cons: Slow-burn pacing; adult scenes are not the main focus throughout the story.

Shards of the Past is a good fit if you enjoy adult visual novels where decisions have consequences beyond the next scene. The journey moves through a fantasy world shaped by old conflicts and uncertain history, while new companions and relationships add personal stakes to the larger adventure. Choices can branch into different scenes and paths, so earlier decisions may change what happens later.

Expect a slower, story-first pace. Character development, dialogue, and world-building take up much of the experience, with adult content woven into the developing relationships rather than presented as the game’s only focus. It suits players looking for a substantial fantasy story with mature themes, but may feel gradual if you want a short, scene-focused porn game.
