ShoSakyu: The Succubus I Summoned Is a Noob!? [v0.3] [AshyNyuu]

ShoSakyu follows a lonely, impulsive guy (that’s you) who finds a summoning book in a park one night after work. Upon using the book (without reading it) you’re shocked to find our main girl of the story Nono, who is a succubus, knocking on your door to fulfill the contract you’ve unknowingly signed. Despite her determination however, it becomes painfully clear that Nono doesn’t seem too cut out for the job. After an awkward first meeting, Nono ends up moving into the guest room, and you must try to resume your life as normal while taking care of her.

After Nono became a licensed succubus, her kind still had doubts she would ever achieve anything. Growing up accustomed to bullying from classmates and adults, she developed to be more meek than everyone else, with an over optimistic outlook as a coping mechanism for their harsh words. On her first day of work, she placed her summoning book in the human world and waited with a sick pit in her stomach. After some time, she was ripped from her home and onto the balcony of a strange apartment complex.
The meeting between you and her couldn’t be more awkward. You who didn’t mean to actually summon anyone, and Nono, who is too shy to actually have sex at all. You try to explain yourselves, only to reach the conclusion that going home for her would be far too embarrassing, and she’ll just have to stay until she can gather the courage to have sex with you.
But because Nono is choosing to stay with you, other succubi become curious, and drop in to see what’s going on. Of course they aren’t the type to leave empty handed. Throughout the story, you’ll learn about Nono, her past, and the succubi race, and in doing so you’ll find out what must be done to help her.
Humanity is the same as ever however, you still have to go to work, despite all the excitement at home. Your coworker can tell something is different about you. Will you let her in on what’s been happening to you? She’s always been a brat, it’s hard to tell how she’d respond. Maybe you shouldn’t, in case Nono ever wants to come visit you at work, or even work there herself…

ShoSakyu: The Succubus I Summoned is a Noob!? is a light-hearted monster girl dating sim and visual novel developed by AshyNyuu. The story begins when the protagonist summons Nono, an inexperienced and socially awkward succubus who unexpectedly ends up living with him in his apartment. What starts as an unusual supernatural encounter gradually develops into a larger story about living together, relationships and the other characters entering their lives.

ShoSakyu combines visual novel storytelling with meaningful choices and increasingly interconnected events. Player decisions can change which events occur and even the order in which they appear, while daily activities, character interactions and additional systems expand the experience beyond a strictly linear story. The game supports Windows, Linux and Android, allowing desktop players to browse more sex games for PC and mobile players to discover more sex games for Android on GameCax.

ShoSakyu Review

Story & Setting

ShoSakyu deliberately starts with a simple supernatural premise. The protagonist summons a succubus, but Nono is far from the confident supernatural companion he might have expected. Her inexperienced and awkward personality turns the situation into a mixture of comedy, romance and everyday life.

The apartment initially provides the central setting, making living together an important part of the game’s identity. The story gradually expands as additional characters and supernatural connections enter Nono’s life.

The basic narrative relationship is:

Summoning Nono → Living Together → Daily Interactions → Player Decisions → New Characters → Relationship Development → Branching Events

Gameplay

ShoSakyu is primarily a visual novel and dating sim, but its progression is not completely linear. Choices can affect which events become available, when they appear and whether certain events occur at all.

This makes earlier decisions increasingly important. Players may encounter events in a different order depending on how they have handled previous situations, so reaching a particular day does not necessarily mean every player should have seen exactly the same content.

A useful representation of the gameplay is:

Daily Progression → Character Interaction → Choice → Saved State → Event Requirement → New Event or Alternative Path

Additional systems such as tracked stats, phone interactions, repeatable activities and work-related gameplay add more structure around the central visual novel experience.

Relationships & Choices

Nono is the central relationship in ShoSakyu. Her unusual situation with the protagonist establishes the game’s core relationship while later characters such as Alura introduce additional conflicts, decisions and dependencies.

Choices can have consequences beyond the conversation in which they appear. Some later content requires the player to have responded to earlier events in a particular way, making relationship progression and story progression closely connected.

The resulting structure is:

Character → Interaction → Choice → Relationship State → Later Requirement → Event

This also gives ShoSakyu meaningful replay potential because different decisions can change the availability and ordering of later events.

Visuals & Presentation

ShoSakyu uses colorful 2D anime-inspired artwork with expressive character portraits and multiple expressions and outfits. The presentation supports the game’s lighter tone, while character expressions help distinguish comedic, romantic and more serious moments without relying entirely on dialogue.

Nono’s character design is particularly important to the game’s identity. Rather than presenting its succubus premise with a consistently dark tone, ShoSakyu uses a cute monster-girl aesthetic that matches her inexperienced and awkward personality.

GameCax Review

ShoSakyu stands out because it takes a familiar succubus premise and builds a surprisingly structured relationship game around it. Nono’s personality gives the story an immediately recognizable identity, while the expanding event system prevents the experience from becoming a completely linear visual novel.

The strongest gameplay element is the growing dependency between choices and later events. The developer has confirmed that events can appear in different orders or disappear entirely depending on player decisions. This gives choices more practical importance than dialogue options that only change a few lines of conversation.

The expanding daily systems also provide room for additional depth. Phone interactions, tracked variables, repeatable content and work activities can gradually connect ordinary daily life with character progression.

The main weakness is progression clarity. Once events become conditional, two players can reach a similar point in the game while having experienced different content. Players may therefore assume they have missed an event when their earlier choices actually prevented or delayed it. This makes ShoSakyu particularly well suited to a dependency-based walkthrough rather than a simple chronological guide.

GameCax rates ShoSakyu 9.0/10.

Pros

  • Nono gives the game a distinctive and memorable central character.
  • Meaningful choices can alter later event availability.
  • Events can occur in different orders depending on player decisions.
  • Relationship progression is connected to earlier choices and requirements.
  • Daily activities and additional systems provide structure beyond dialogue.
  • Expressive 2D character artwork complements the light-hearted tone.
  • Strong replay and walkthrough potential.

Cons

  • Conditional events can make progression difficult to track.
  • Players may not immediately know whether an event is delayed, missed or blocked by an earlier choice.
  • Some systems are less important than the central character and story progression.
  • Branch dependencies can make completion more complicated without a guide.

Your Choices Can Change Which Events You See

ShoSakyu does not require every player to experience events in exactly the same order. Earlier decisions can affect later requirements, allowing some events to appear at different points while others may not become available on a particular path. This makes previous choices important when comparing your progression with another player’s save.

Nono’s Daily Life Is Part of the Progression

Living with Nono gradually develops into a broader daily-life system. Her mood, schedule and interactions can change as the story progresses, while activities such as cooking, working, using the PC and spending time together provide additional ways to interact with the game’s systems. These activities help connect ordinary apartment life with the larger character story.

Alura Expands the Succubus Storyline

Alura introduces another important supernatural character and expands the story beyond the original relationship between the protagonist and Nono. Her introduction, summoning requirements and later interactions can depend on previous progression, making it useful to track earlier events rather than treating her content as an isolated storyline.
