About the NTR tag

I want to clarify why the game has the NTR tag, since I know this label creates a lot of discussion. Some players hate it, some players love it, and some players feel the game does not qualify as NTR at all.

The short answer is: the game uses the NTR tag because, as far as I know, there is no better tag that accurately covers what the game is doing.

I know that “NTR” can mean different things depending on who you ask. Some people use it broadly, while others separate it into terms like netorare, netori, cheating, sharing, etc. Those things are not all the same, and I understand that.

If your definition of strict netorare is: “a love interest cheats on the protagonist or leaves him for another man even if the player treats her well, prioritizes her, and stays loyal to her,” then no, that is not what this game is designed to be.

What I want is for the choices you make throughout the game to have meaningful consequences.

For example, if you are interested in Mary Jane, romance her properly, tell her what she wants to hear, prioritize her over other girls, avoid rejecting her, and build a strong relationship with her, then she is not going to randomly betray you.

However, if you are technically romancing Mary Jane while also sleeping with Gwen, Felicia, or other girls, choosing other women over her, neglecting her, or failing to build your relationship with her enough, then there may be consequences, including sleeping with someone else. Even if you have had romantic moments with her, the game will still take your broader choices into account.

Another idea I want to explore in the game is that, while Peter is still the protagonist, the world around him should not feel completely frozen unless he is directly involved. If you ignore a girl entirely, reject her route, or pursue someone else instead, I want those characters to still feel like they have their own lives, their own relationships, and potentially their own scenes outside of Peter.

I’ve also seen some people comment that the “NTR” scenes are currently very difficult to reach. That is intentional.

At this stage of development, I’m trying to be as fair as possible. If you’re genuinely pursuing a girl and treating her well, I don’t think it would make much sense for her to suddenly cheat on you because you made one wrong dialogue choice or happened to prioritize someone else a single time.

Early on, you almost have to push the relationship in that direction deliberately if you want to see those scenes. As development continues, however, the system should become more dynamic. Once a relationship has started to break down or a character has moved on, it becomes much more likely that those choices will continue to have consequences in the future. In other words, I intend to develop these paths over time rather than appearing out of nowhere.

Likewise, I want the game to respect if you play loyally and consistently invest in a relationship.

I understand that, in the strictest sense, this may not match every player’s definition of netorare. But for many players, “NTR” simply means that some love interests can have sexual content with someone other than the protagonist. If I did not include the tag, there would also be complaints from players saying the game contains NTR content but was not tagged properly.

So the decision I took was: I would rather include the tag, be transparent, and try to explainn how I intend the system to work, instead of hiding or minimizing content that some players may want to avoid.

I hope I explained my approach well enough. I know this is a sensitive and divisive topic for many players, but I’d rather be upfront about it so everyone knows what to expect.
